Independence Day, BBQ, and Establishing Zion

For July 28th, Peru Independence Day, we saw parades, the President of Peru gave a State of the Union type address, which from what I heard was mostly addressing traffic problems in Lima, and we went to a chifa restaurant to eat dinner! The dish is called chaufa, which is basically fried rice with fried wontons, sweet and sour sauce, chili sauce, and a choice of carne. It's super good! We are still waiting on pictures from the wedding, because they were taken by a professional photographer, and we don't have access still, but soon, and when I have them, I'll send them to you!

This week I finally put pictures up! This P-Day (today) we had a zone BBQ! I bought a small piece of beef, and rubbed garlic and salt into it, and one of our District leaders from California, who loves to BBQ, cooked all the meat! It was super good! I also felt like making something better, so I bought flour, yeast, garlic, and butter, and I made Pain d'Epi dough, made it really thin, and spread garlic and butter on top, and baked little crisps in the BBQ! It was pretty good for a first try at grilled bread! And at the end, the Bishop let us try some of his grilled trout! It was so awesome! It reminded me a lot of camping, when we tried, and sometimes succeeded, to eat gourmet in the wilderness! It was so cool!

This week something hit me pretty hard. My calling is to do what Jesus did, and would do, if he were in my area. That is literally change the world. To establish Zion! And we have the right to receive revelation to do it! If we only look for it, and are willing to follow it all, we will be highly effective servants in his hands! It's so awesome! I'm not sure what I'll end up doing, but it's going to be awesome!!!

I love you all!
