Proof and Conversion

This week we had some great miracles!  We had a goal this week of 10 new investigators, and Saturday we had a goal of 3.  At 7:00 at night we had 0 on Saturday, and 5 total.  We then went to a sister that said she had some references for us, which usually doesn't end with new investigators, but we tried it.  We went to the house, and it was a mom and her two kids, and they were super interested!!  It was awesome!  We were also working to get more references, so we gave a pass along card to one of our recent converts, 11 years old.  On Sunday, he asked if he could introduce us to his friend, and we said of course, and he introduced us to a 50 year old woman, his neighbor.  He had invited her to come to church, and she came and was very interested!  We had a lesson right after church, and she was awesome!  By the end of the week, we had 10 new investigators!  It was incredible!!  It came after a week of tracting super hard and lots of walking!  Faith precedes the miracle right?

Today we had a P-Day activity, and I made Sister Homer's Buttermilk Biscuits with Sausage Gravy!!!  It was so good!  I also made the biscuits in a pan, because we don't have an oven, but it worked, and I loved it!  It was so cool!

I also have been struggling recently with investigators that want to prove the Book of Mormon is true, because I half want to do it, and prove it to them that it's all true, but I know that that won't bring conversion.  So, I found this scriptures that really helped me to teach these investigators:

1 Corinthians 2
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2 Nephi 9
42 And whoso knocketh, to him will he open; and the wise, and the learned, and they that are rich, who are puffed up because of their learning, and their wisdom, and their riches—yea, they are they whom he despiseth; and save they shall cast these things away, and consider themselves fools before God, and come down in the depths of humility, he will not open unto them.
43 But the things of the wise and the prudent shall be hid from them forever—yea, that happiness which is prepared for the saints.

We cannot know anything is true at all without a witness of the Holy Ghost.  The only truth that exists that we can get to without the Holy Ghost, is ''I think, therefore I am,''  which sounds cool and all, and was a stepping stone in history, but doesn't actually help much!  I love everything I'm learning and all the people I'm helping!

Love you all!
